THE STORY
We planted our seeds in the early 2000s right here in the Atlanta area. Two guys, Rob Caswick and Jeff Newsham came together to develop restaurants with new twists on local fare. They wanted to create neighborhood gathering places with a passion for food and drink served in a “no attitude” atmosphere. They knew they wanted to offer an eclectic mix of Italian-inspired tavern dishes but also have some fun with classic pub grub. Craftsmanship is at the core of the company, so you’ll always find a a fully stocked bar with a meticulously curated menu.
THE NAME
We like to draw upon the history and heritage of the communities we set roots in, so when trying to create our name—we did just that. Outside the Theta Chi fraternity house at the University of Georgia grows one of the few Dutch Elm trees in North America east of the Mississippi River. It has weathered many seasons and has kept growing strong, despite all the odds. Because of this, our founders felt it was the perfect name for our company.
